About

Turn your blog luv nto cans for those in need :: spread the blog luv!!!

So you want to participate? Not sure what to do? If there are rules? How to go about any of it?
We have answers.
What is Cans for Comments? It’s a way for photographers to give back, get noticed, and do something good for their community, all while building their SEO.
How do I participate? Simple, set a start and end date, post a blog entry.  Count the comments at the end, and donate a single can for every comment left.  Take a picture, write a final post with results, anything you’d like to show you donated.
How will people find me? Quite a few ways.
As long as we have your site, city and state you are representing we will be putting you into a directory of other photographers. www.cansforcomments.com will be a central site that people can go to when they are trying to get more info and are interested in commenting or participating.
Do you twitter? Facebook? Any social network? Let people know. We have our own twitter account that we will use to help promote your blog as well. www.twitter.com/cansforcomments check us out
We are also asking that you get the word out in your community. Although a few of us are running the site, we can do everything J We have already contacted some local media and other popular bloggers in hopes that they will be willing to spread the word as well (this is where being listed on the site comes in).
Get creative.
How many days do I have to do it for? As many or as little as you’d like, the choice is totally up to you.
Can I limit myself to a certain amount of cans? Sure, whatever is feasible for you.  Don’t over stretch yourself.
Can I give something else other than cans? Totally, donate a penny or a nickel for every comment, give 5 minutes of volunteering per comment, go crazy, its all up to you.
Is what I donate a tax write-off? If it is a charitable donation, then yes, we are not Accountants though so please consult a CPA for more information.
What else can I do to help? This is a pretty small operation of people getting all of this together.  If you’d like to help out, we encourage you to get people on the bandwagon, encourage people to email us their sites with city and states so we can link them (cansforcomments@gmail.com).  This will make next year a lot easier if we have a database of emails to work off of.
The only rules are the ones you make. The whole thing works on an honor system, you know what you can and cannot do and we trust you will do what’s best.
